Bob Skea, President
Bob has over 21 years experience building and leading financial technology organizations. He most recently ran the U.S.-based Client organization for Reuters. In this capacity, he was responsible for all client relationships, revenue growth and maintenance across all product lines and markets. Prior to Reuters, Bob was the global head of Sales and Business Development for Multex, a financial information company, which was acquired by Reuters in 2003. Before joining Multex, Bob spent 15 years at JPMorgan Chase Bank in a variety of strategy, sales and operational roles in the United States and Latin America. Bob holds a BS in marketing from Rutgers University.
Venkataraman Balasubramanian, Senior Vice President of Professional Services
Venkataraman Balasubramanian, also known as Bala, is a senior executive with extensive experience in servicing the needs of financial institutions globally. His general management experience includes three years at Reuters, nine years at IBM and almost 10 years at Citigroup (Shearson Lehman Brothers). He has held P&L responsibility for service businesses as well as global leadership responsibility. He has worked with a number of financial institutions in the U.S. (HSBC, NASDAQ, Citigroup, Chase, and Wells Fargo) in consulting and services roles as well as with a number of banks and financial institutions across Asia Pacific and Northern Europe (UK, France, Germany, and Switzerland). Most recently, Bala was the Senior Vice President, Partners and Global Alliances, at Reuters Americas. In this role, Bala was responsible for defining and implementing the process, programs and expertise to drive partnering and strategic alliances into a core competence within Reuters globally. His team was responsible for enabling access to new markets and new revenue opportunities through over 450 partners globally, including managing globally services partners such as Accenture, IBM, Infosys and Tata. Bala received his BS in mechanical engineering from U.V. College of Engineering in 1980, an MBA in management from Indian Institute of Management (I.I.M.) in Bangalore in 1982, and an MA in project management from George Washington University in 1998.
Lawrence K. Kinsella, Chief Financial Officer
Larry Kinsella is a seasoned finance executive, with more than 20 years of leadership experience in world-class companies. He was previously Chief Financial Officer of British Telecom’s Global Financial Services Division from 2005 to 2007. Before that he was CFO of Radianz, which was acquired by British Telecom in 2005. He served as CFO and Chief Administrative Officer of Moneyline Telerate from 2001 to 2004.
From 1993 to 2001, Larry held a number of senior business and financial positions at Dow Jones & Company, Inc., including Vice President/General Manager of Dow Jones International and Comptroller and Chief Accounting Officer of Dow Jones & Company. He had joined Dow Jones Telerate in 1988, at that time a subsidiary of Dow Jones. Larry has been on the Boards of CNBC Europe, CNBC Asia, Vedomosti, and Americonomia. He was previously with Coopers & Lybrand in New York. Larry is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Juergen Dittgen, Senior Vice President of Product Development
Juergen is a senior executive with more than 19 years of experience in Financial Services, Product Management, Consulting and Technology. Prior to joining NorthStar in 2004, Juergen spent 12 years with Goldman Sachs in Frankfurt, London and New York. During his tenure with Goldman Sachs, Juergen was responsible for global development and production support for the Private Client Services' desktop. He led the teams for design and implementation of the investment management tools, including asset allocation, estate planning, portfolio construction, portfolio management, risk management, investment catalog and investment reviews. Juergen was directly involved in business reengineering efforts to optimize Goldman Sachs' Private Client Services workflows that resulted in significant productivity gains for the sales teams. The last position Juergen held at Goldman was the Implementation and Operations Manager in Goldman Sachs Asset Management�s Private Client Portfolio and Investment Strategy Group. Earlier at Goldman Sachs, Juergen was an Executive Director for International Private Client Service's technology where he was responsible for designing and implementing a scalable infrastructure for reporting, portfolio accounting, performance calculation, order handling and support for custody consolidation. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Juergen was a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services group at Andersen Consulting. Juergen holds Master degrees in Business Administration and Computer Science from the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
William Entwistle, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
William has over 15 years of experience in the financial services marketplace. Most recently, William was a founding member and Sales Leader for IBM’s Global Business Services Wealth Management Practice. In that role, William managed the sales organization that supported a dedicated consulting practice of 110 delivery staff members in the US, Europe and Asia. Prior to IBM, William was a District Sales Manager for WinMill Software where he ran sales for the Financial Services Consulting Practice and was responsible for establishing regional offices on the east coast. Prior to WinMill Software, as a Sales Director for Charles Schwab, William helped establish, market and grow the firm’s wealth management business into what has became Schwab Private Client, which provides full service money management services for high net worth individuals.
Roger Portnoy, Director of Business Development
Roger Portnoy has been Managing Director of Starting-Right Limited, an advisory firm focused on financial technology and data publishing markets, in which capacity he has served a wide range of globally-recognized clients including investment banks, commercial banks, infrastructure providers, information providers, and hedge funds, in both Europe and the U.S. He was previously a Director of Thomson Financial where he led the European Private Equity Group and, prior to that, he was a proprietary trader at Swiss Bank/UBS. He received a BA, magna cum laude, from Colgate University.
