Health & Safety

At NorthStar, safety and regulatory compliance are our top priorities. We view safety as not only a core value but also a competitive advantage, ranking along-side quality, timeliness, and budget-conscious execution. In many cases, our health and safety standards exceed those required by OSHA and other industry regulations. Each member of the NorthStar team is personally committed to delivering their best work, which includes maintaining a strong focus on safety.

We provide comprehensive training for our employees on safe handling of potentially hazardous materials in all situations. Our team of over 30 health and safety officers, along with our branch and project management leaders, are directly involved in safety inspections and training. This includes 30-hour OSHA Construction Standards, our Corporate Safety Manual, and First Aid/CPR training for all frontline supervisors.

Our safety programs are both extensive and adaptable, designed to meet industry and site-specific needs. We are equipped to implement behavior-based safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, subcontractor safety standards, and more.

Whether facing complex projects or challenging work environments, NorthStar’s unwavering commitment to safety remains our foremost priority. Our employees and clients expect, and deserve, the highest standards of safety performance.
