NorthStar was contracted to repurpose an existing CCR impoundment for new stormwater collection and retention system; dewatering of basin and CCR prior to removal; excavate 600,000 cy of CCR and subgrade; hauling and placement of removed material into an on-site landfill; excavation and development of on-site borrow souce; backfill; construction of berms and cells; installation of liner system and cover for basins; and, demolition and reconstruction of a drainage ditch to serve as the influent source to the settling basin.
